WREN is in the mountains she calls the “high places.” She frequents there to find time alone to meditate and commune with her creator. Descending the path back to the clearing, she stumbles upon a vacationer named DRAKE. Though both have their guard up while engaging in polite banter, the conclusion of their meeting is to simply dismiss it as a momentary fluke and debunk the chemistry that is occurring between them. He is a vacationer, and she is a local. That alone would complicate the end game. However, it appears fate persistently draws them together. Wren becomes a frequent thought in Drake’s head, and he seeks counsel from his father to determine if he should consider this woman. He decides to approach it like a game. She would be temporarily amusing, giving him a break from his usual itinerary. The dilemma presented to his father is the one that brings her into his circle. If things go sour, she could be a source that exposes him and the secret society he works for. He can’t resist the intrigue she presents and takes a chance to get to know her. Eventually, Wren and Drake develop a relationship, and Hope Ignites between them, and the dance begins! Wren becomes infatuated with Drake, and she succumbs to his charms. They both fall in love and become betrothed. They experience high emotional happiness on their wedding day. The day after the wedding, however, takes a 180-degree turn. Wren’s experience as new bride plummets to an all-time low. Drake becomes aware of his wrongdoing and becomes consumed with finding a solution, even if it means he could lose her.
